Your safety comes first

Ketamine is not recommended for people who are taking seizure medication.

Ketamine is not recommended for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure because it can further elevate blood pressure, potentially leading to severe cardiovascular issues. Once your blood pressure is under control please reach out to us to evaluate your eligibility for the Joyous treatment.

Ketamine is not recommended for people with aneurysmal vascular problems because it can increase blood pressure and heart rate, which may pose a risk of rupturing or worsening the existing aneurysm.

Ketamine is not recommended for people with epilepsy because it can lower the seizure threshold, increasing the risk of seizures and potentially triggering epileptic episodes in those with the condition.

Ketamine can increase blood pressure and intracranial pressure. For individuals with cerebral hemorrhage or brain bleeding, any elevation in intracranial pressure could exacerbate the bleeding or worsen the clinical outcome.

Ketamine can lower the force of heart contractions and decrease heart efficiency, which can be harmful for patients with heart failure, as their heart is already weakened.

Ketamine can potentially increase intracranial pressure, which is risky for individuals already suffering from elevated intracranial pressure.

If you are allergic to ketamine then this is not a safe treatment for you.

If you are allergic to polyethylene glycol (PEG) then this is not a safe treatment for you, because our medication contains it.

We hope you find the treatment that meets your needs 💜

Your safety comes first

In-person care may be a safer fit

Your past drug use suggests that telehealth may not be a safe fit for you.

Ketamine may still be an option with in-person care. Working closely with a provider could help prevent substance use issues with ketamine. 💜

You deserve more support

Based on your answers, you deserve a more supportive level of care than we can provide over telehealth. We recommend close, in-person support.
